Cal was always cold. He never properly learnt Tapas, the jedi skill to stay warm - Master Tapal managed to give him a few lessons, but he'd need many more to master the skill.

He learnt to live with the cold. Working on Bracca in all kinds of horrible weather, whether it rained or blew freezing cold wind and in most cases both at the same time, made him almost numb to the feeling - it just became a constant in his life.

Once he joined the Mantis crew he changed the stabbing wet cold of Bracca for the cold of space. A better kind of cold, if such a thing existed, but still cold.

On Ilum he felt the sharp cold, piercing through him like needles. The cold seeped deep into his bones, haunting him long after he left the place.

And then he got introduced to the cold hard feeling of metal armour under his numb fingers and bruised cheek.

He became very aware of the cold afterwards, his mind often drifting back to the feeling of the cold armour.

He accepted he might never feel warm again.

He would have never thought that Boba Fett was so warm underneath all that cold metal.

I find it poetical that the Clone Wars started and ended with the death of someone very important to them. For Boba, it was Jango, who died the day the Clone Wars began. For Cal, the war ended with his Master Jaro Tapal dying because of Order 66. And now both of them carry a legacy.

Making waves in pitch black sand
Feel the salt dance on my hands
Raw and charcoal coloured thighs
Feel so cold and my skin feels so paper-thin

I know I’ll wither so peel away the bark
‘Cause nothing grows when it is dark
In spite of all my fears, I can see it all so clear

Codywan Week 2020 - Day 7: Sith

Done for @
codywanweek at Tumblr

Lovingly inspired by Jedi: Fallen Order, have an AU where Obi-Wan gets caught and tortured into falling to the darkside. After he becomes an Inquisitor he searches for his old clone commander and after agreeing to the partnership, Cody becomes a Purge Trooper assigned specially to Kenobi.

I know Inquisitors have a special type of lightsabers, but listen, Obi-Wan has style and that’s the lightsaber he cut Vader to bits with - he ain’t getting rid of it! The new half of the saber has “Kote” written in Sith alphabet on it (you can see only -te of it).
